Swiftair chooses Kiu System Solutions

 Kiu System Solutions has announced the partnership with the Spanish airline Swiftair, having signed a contract for Uepfly.com’s regular operations. The company has chosen the suite of solutions offered by Kiu, including Kiu PSS, distribution through Kiu GDS and the systems Kiu DCS, Kiu BI, Kiu E-Commerce, Kiu Admin as well as the integration with SARA, the residency accreditation system in the Balearic Islands. 

 
Uepfly.com is the scheduled flight subsidiary of Grupo Swiftair that, among its various affiliates in several European countries, operates a fleet of one hundred aircraft and has over 3,400 employees worldwide. The Group specializes in air cargo, while having an important passenger transport activity. 
 
Uepfly.com started operating interinsular flights in the Balearic Islands on July 16th 2021 with twin-engine turboprops ATR 72. The company currently operates several daily flights between Mallorca, Ibiza, and Menorca.
 
Through this association, Swiftair will be able to further strengthen their position in the market, thanks to the flexibility of Kiu’s system and its capacity to adapt to the needs of companies starting their way into the industry. Also, boosted by the power of Kiu GDS, Swiftair will be able to distribute their inventory globally and increase their competitiveness, as it connects them with over 34,000 travel agencies.
 
Javier Taibo, Uepfly.com VP, expressed: “We decided to start an alliance with Kiu after analyzing several solutions in the market. We consider Kiu to be the most appropriate for our business model, functioning as a tool for establishing our sales and developing the discount application for the mobility within the Balearic Islands that the Spanish State grants to the residents in that Autonomous Community. We also need it as an engine for sales on our website. It has been a laborious journey that, almost a year after the start of our scheduled flights, has allowed us to be well-established in the market. We trust this experience will allow us to grow together.”
  
The addition of this new partner is further evidence of, not only Kiu’s consolidation in the European continent, but also of the importance of a system with the capacity to adapt to the different business models of airlines. Backed by Kiu, Uepfly.com will be able to accomplish their goals related to the expansion of their flights, to both other destinations within Spain and to the rest of Europe.
