Flybondi Upgrades its Passenger Service System with Kiu System Solutions’ Technology

  • Flybondi will now distribute its flight inventory and ancillary services through Kiu’s global travel agency network
  •  Passengers will benefit from an enhanced airfare shopping, flight booking, and post-sale experience

Buenos Aires, May 21st, 2024 - Flybondi (www.flybondi.com), the first low-cost airline in Argentina, has selected Kiu System Solutions (www.kiusys.com), a global company dedicated to technology and new-generation systems, as its technology provider to modernize Flybondi’s marketing, reservation and post-sale experience.

The passenger service system, Kiu PSS, is a suite of solutions for the sale of air tickets through different channels, for post-sale management, airport operations, and revenue accounting. The implementation of Kiu PSS represents a fundamental project for Flybondi: by adopting this technological solution, it provides an improved experience for passengers in the travel cycle,  expanding their capacity to standardize operations, improve traceability and to adapt to new businesses more flexibly.

To enhance its business model, Flybondi will now benefit from its inventory distribution through the travel agencies channel connected to Kiu GDS (global distribution system). Currently, this indirect sales channel is used by over 290.000 sales agents in more than 80 countries. The low-cost airline will be able to access this resource of agencies, while also distributing in other global systems.

Moreover, Kiu System Solutions’ reservation system and passenger service tools are integrated with Ticket 3.0 technology, the unique functionality developed so that Flybondi tickets can be renamed, gifted, transferred or resold in an easy, safe and completely autonomous way.

Through Kiu’s technology for e-commerce and web check-in, passengers will be able to access “My Reservation” platform in Flybondi’s website, and will find more options for efficient self management. Passengers will have an even more seamless and personalized travel experience.

"The PSS of an airline could be referred to as the “nervous system” of the company, the foundation of all its projects and revenue. For this reason, our alliance with KIU represents a major step, as it reinforces our commitment to provide a better experience for our passengers. We are excited for the positive impact of this transformation”, claimed Federico Pastori, Flybondi’s Chief Commercial Officer.

“The addition of Flybondi to the global network of airlines and travel agencies that use Kiu’s technology represents a milestone in the constant growth and evolution of our business. Flybondi’s leading position in the Argentine market, and its increasing regional expansion strengthens our positioning in Latin America, and enriches the flight offer and services available for millions of passengers,”  expressed Alberto Desimone, CEO of Kiu System Solutions.
